Preschooler Leads the Way in Helping the Hungry
Launching into the 2022 Christmas season, Ventura Missionary Preschool families joined others in the community to build Can-Christmas Trees in downtown Ventura. The canned goods were donated to FoodShare to resource our hungry friends and neighbors.
Preschool Director, Laurie Pido's heart behind the project is not only benefitting those who are in need, but also providing an opportunity for parents to model generosity to their kids. However, young Constantine, one of our preschool students became the one who modeled a giving heart to the rest of us. Taking this project to heart, he hit up neighbors and local stores to ask them to contribute. All in all, he collected 420 of the cans brought in by our preschool families! We’re so proud of Constantine for demonstrating to us what it means to share the love of Jesus in our community.
