Christmas in July at Family to Family

On July 22, 2019, volunteers from Ventura Missionary Church distributed 180 gift bags to our homeless friends.  Once a month we prepare and serve hot lunch for those in need through a ministry called, "Family to Family."  This month we decided to ask our church family to donate items to bless those who come for the meal with a gift bag filled with items like sunscreen, chapstick, hats, socks, toiletries and much more to celebrate Christmas in July. Event organizer, Kevin Barclay said, "We were also able to share [with those we served] how we can celebrate Jesus and what He did for us more than once a year." As a part of the celebration, we also provided a delicious ham meal.  We are so grateful to have a church family who is "rich in good deeds" (1 Timothy 6:18) so that we can share the transforming love of Jesus in our community and beyond.
