At Ventura Missionary we have a deep passion for reaching and caring for our community, and all of our groups are encouraged to invest in local and global ministry efforts.
What Does It Look Like to Impact our Community with the Love of Jesus?
Just some of the ways groups and individuals have come alongside those in our community include:

- Groups have brought lunches and other blessings to nurses, police officers, and other front-line workers and first-responders in our community.
- Individuals and groups have surprised local small business owners with financial gifts during the global pandemic.
- Volunteers serve monthly at Family to Family to prepare and serve a lunch for the homeless in our community.
- Our church family donates and assembles bicycles for kids in local foster care.
- Many volunteers provide annual camps for kids and teens in local foster care.
- Rooted Groups serve and share meals residents, and do service projects at Casa de Vida, the City Center, and Gabriel's House.
- Individuals volunteer with Good News Clubs to share the good news of Jesus with children in our community.
- Individuals and groups invest financially. In addition to your regular giving, you can support our Outreach Partners by noting "Missions and Outreach" on your check, bill pay through your bank, or through your online giving.

Casa de Vida
Residential Drug and Alcohol Recovery
Casa de Vida is a 6-12 month program that provides housing, groups for educational recovery, job training, anger management, family support, spiritual support, and more to those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.
The City Center
Transitional Living Community
The City Center helps homeless individual sand families, equipping them to rebuild their lives for self-sufficiency. Partnering with local churches, the center provides counseling and support services.
Family to Family
Serving Hot Lunch to our Homeless Friends
Ventura Missionary serves hot lunch to those in need at Family to Family the 4th Monday of every month and welcome anyone to take part by doing food prep, set-up, clean-up, and interacting with those they are serving.
Good News Clubs
Sharing the Good News with Kids
Good News Clubs, a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship, are fun-filled weekly clubs for kids that share the good news of Christ in schools, homes, community centers, churches, apartment complexes, and online.
Project Bicycle Love
Providing Bicycles to Kids in Foster Care
Project Bicycle Love provides new bicycles and helmets for children and youth in local Foster Care. Each year, Ventura Missionary collects donations and hosts a Build-a-Bike party to assemble and decorate the bikes, and more.
Project Understanding
Food Pantry for the Under-resourced
Project Understanding resources homeless and at-risk families in our community. Ventura Missionary collects items to partner with this ministry and delivers what is donated to their pantry. Access monthly collection focuses HERE.
Royal Family Kids Camp
Camp for Kids in Foster Care
Royal Family Kids is an annual camp for kids between the ages of 7 and 11 who are in local foster care. Ventura Missionary partners with local children's services agencies to create a week of positive memories for kids.
Teen Reach Adventure Camp
Camp for Teens in Foster Care
Teen Reach Adventure Camp (TRAC) is a camp for teens in foster care. Ventura Missionary partners with local children's services agencies to create a weekend of positive memories for teens. There is one camp for boys and one for girls.
Young Life is a ministry that shares God's love with high school and middle school students, and with teenagers and young adults with disabilities by building authentic friendships with them on their turf and in their culture.
ZOE International is committed to ending child trafficking, and to restoring survivors and at-risk orphans. Ventura Missionary is partnering with ZOE Los Angeles where children receive care, restoration and training.
