LOCAL OUTREACH

Living and Sharing the Love of Jesus in our Community

Investing in the World Around Us

At Ventura Missionary we have a deep passion for reaching and caring for our community, and all of our groups are encouraged to invest in local and global ministry efforts.

Please contact Tracy Maxson if you would like more information about outreach opportunities. She can help you or your group identify a local and global opportunity. Some of the ways to engage are listed below.

What Does It Look Like to Impact our Community with the Love of Jesus?

Just some of the ways groups and individuals have come alongside those in our community include:
  • Groups have brought lunches and other blessings to nurses, police officers, and other front-line workers and first-responders in our community.
  • Individuals and groups have surprised local small business owners with financial gifts during the global pandemic.
  • Volunteers serve monthly at Family to Family to prepare and serve a lunch for the homeless in our community.
  • Our church family donates and assembles bicycles for kids in local foster care.
  • Many volunteers provide annual camps for kids and teens in local foster care.
  • Rooted Groups serve and share meals residents, and do service projects at Casa de Vida, the City Center, and Gabriel's House.
  • Individuals volunteer with Good News Clubs to share the good news of Jesus with children in our community.
  • Individuals and groups invest financially.  In addition to your regular giving, you can support our Outreach Partners by noting "Missions and Outreach" on your check, bill pay through your bank, or through your online giving.
